Just days following NXT Spring Breakin', reigning and defending NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes will defend his title for the very first time against the Superstar he took it from, the intimidating Bron Breakker.
Hayes shocked the WWE Universe on the April 29 edition of NXT 2.0 when he cashed in his newly won NXT North American Championship on the then-NXT Champion Breakker, hitting him with a low blow and then the title to become the new titleholder. On the May 6 episode, Breakker returned and laid out Hayes after he had been attacked by Solo Sikoa, making it clear that he was coming for his title.
